Secret [1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th level]
She makes intriguing, empowering discoveries. At each level, the weird sister learns one of the secrets of witchcraft unknown to lesser witches. By permanently sacrificing the indicated Spells Per Day slot, she gains a special ability from the following:
- Anyspell: The weird sister can learn any witchcraft, sorcerer, or druidic spell as a bonus arcane Spell Known. Witchcraft spells are learned as spells of their normal spell level, while other arcane spells and druidic spells are learned as if the spell were one spell level higher than normal. For example, she could learn the sorcerer's fireball spell as a 4th level spell or the druid's heal as an 8th level arcane spell. This secret can be selected multiple times.
- Arcane Reach: Her touch transcends distance. The weird sister can use spells with a range of touch on a target up to 30 feet away, with a successful ranged touch attack. Arcane Reach can be selected twice to increase the range to 60 feet. This supernatural secret costs one 7th-level spell slot each time selected.
- Broom Mastery: In the hands of the weird sister, any ordinary broom functions as a broom of flying without the normal costs and requirements associated with crafting such a magic item. She can only empower one such broom at a time; once designated, the broom behaves as a broom of flying. If the broom is destroyed, she may merely empower another broom; granting brooms flight requires the witch perform a day-long ritual. The secret of Broom Mastery costs one 3rd-level spell slot.
- Cauldron Mastery: The weird sister can use the Brew Potion feat to create potions of spells of 6th-level or lower. This secret consumes one 6th-level spell slot.
- Dabble: She can Dabble in an additional Arcane Art. This secret can be selected once, consuming a 3rd-level spell slot.
- Natural Metamagic: The weird sister selects up to three Metamagic feats she knows. She can now apply these feats to spells cast without preparation without increasing the casting time. This secret burns a spell slot equal in spell level to 3 x the number of feats chosen, up to a 9th-level spell slot for three feats.
- Silverfire: Silver flames erupt from her fingertips. She gains the ability to change arcane spell energy into silverfire, manifesting it as a bolt of silvery magical energy streaked with violet, azure, or other colors. The bolt is a ranged touch attack with a long range that deals 1d4+1 points of of damage per weird sister level plus 1d4+1 points of damage per level of the spell sacrificed to create the effect. In addition, creatures struck by silverfire are left twinkling in glitterdust for a number of rounds equal to half the number of dice of damage dealt, rounded down. For example, a 4th-level weird sister sacrificing a 6th-level spell would deal 10d4+10 points of damage and leave her target glitterdusted for 5 rounds. Silverfire costs one 9th-level spell slot.
- Spell Power: Her arcane power transcends her limits. This secret increases the weird sister's effective caster level by +1 for the purposes of caster level checks, the Bewitch and Hex class features, witchcraft Spell DCs, and level-dependent spell variables, such as damage dice or range, and caster level checks only. This secret can be selected multiple times and stacks with itself. Spell Power burns a 7th-level spell slot each time.
- Wild Shape: She can assume the form of animals. Once per day, the weird sister can Wild Shape into any Tiny animal, such as a cat, owl, or viper. This secret consumes a 2nd level slot and can be selected multiple times, each time increasing the number of times per day by two.
- Witchery: The weird sister can further improve her mastery over witchcraft. She chooses a bonus feat from the following list: Craft Staff, Craft Wand, Silent Spell, or Still Spell. She must otherwise qualify for any feat selected. This secret can be taken multiple times, granting an additional bonus feat each time. Witchery costs one 4th-level spell slot the first time it is selected; each additional time it's selected, the spell slot cost increases by a cumulative +1.
Witchcraft
At each level, the weird sister gains spellcasting ability as if she had gained a level in witch. In addition, weird sister levels stack with witch levels for the purposes of acquiring the Ageless class feature.
